This is a pencil sketch that I darkened and colored. Going for a more comic like look. Worked pretty well but looking at it now I have to question Littlepip's choice in standing were she is during a lightning storm.
Nicely done. I like the way you made Littlepip stand out more against the others by highlighting her in pure, unfiltered sunlight. May be the best depiction of the team I've seen so far. Very well done. As I don't know the zebra yet I'll just expand on my praise. I like the way you did Calamity. Best depiction of Velvet Remedy so far. You did good with Pyrelight, and Steelhooves looks more menacing than I had imagined him when I first met him! And the rain effect is brilliant. Pray tell, what program did you use? Photoshop? Illustrator?
Yes, but that is due to aerodynamics of a convertible or the fact that the wind is just blowing from behind you. Try riding in the back seat of a convertible with the windows up and then down and you'd notice a difference in wind displacement.
The nitpick is that if you had two flags standing still and the wind was blowing from one direction both flags would be flapping in the wind. However if one flag was blowing in a direction and the other that means there are two wind currents. Which if you know much about meterology you'd know that at sea level that is a rare occurence and that during a storm (as the image depicts) it wind currents follow one direction.
It's fine! Really! She has plot armor, so she'll probably get struck by lightning and survive, only to be made fun of by her friends for standing as high as possible in a lightning storm. That's my headcanon, anyway.
FO:E always felt more like a "Fallout fanfiction" than a "MLP:FIM fanfiction" to me. I sure liked the Fallout games though, but the part they played in making me like FO:E was very small.
I felt like FO:E was hammering the ponies and Equestria to fit in holes they didn't belong throughout the Fallout Universe. I didn't like the whole story about the war and some other nitpicky things. But I really liked Littlepip and her friends and art like this made me want to know more about the characters. I realized that I was losing some pretty cool stuff because of some things that aren't really important to the story, even if I felt that they "offended" ideas from MLP:FIM.
I agree like some of themes in the fanfiction were never bought up in the games. Like I've played and beaten all fallouts (except brotherhood of steel) and I was amazed at some of the themes that the fiction goes into more so than the games. And also it seemed to make up its own cannon to fit the fiction rather then what it was based off on.
I think the biggest problem is it is not explained how a pony uses a gun designed for humans.
I can live with the idea of the gun. They held them in the mouth and pulled the trigger with their tongue. Seriously, it's weird, but it's a funny adaptation, after all, ponies have hammers like ours in Equestria. However, guns designed like ours would make sense for the griffons and the diamond dogs. Ponies should have relied way more on the battle saddles or something adapted to hooves.
My biggest problem, though, is how the princesses were used and some of the reasons for the war. But that's moving into spoiler area and off topic here.
Simply amazing! A very fine job, and not just on the characters. The level of detail and the small touches, like the Enclave search lights, are all quite excellent. And yes, you successfully pulled off the "comic book" look and vibe.
